What is an Optical Drive?
optical drives or also called cd or dvd drives are used for basically cd, if you have a cd then your computer requieres you to have a cd drive. although they arent really necessary to have in the computer to run. they are just optional and if you are kind of old school and use and have cds around your house, then you might want to install a cd drive on your computer.
